Publish or perish.

I never really intended to have an academic career, but I'm finding it hard to get away from academic settings.   There's just so much out there to learn and discover!  So I have to publish papers every once in a while to keep people in academia from realizing that I'm not really one of them.  The creations section of this site talks about my other writings -- musicals, songs, screenplays, and such -- but I've listed some of my more formal publications here.

I wrote more than 80 articles for Essential Informatics for Medical Groups during my tenure as founding editor for the publication.   Now I write a monthly information technology column for Managed Care Interface that keeps me stocked with free media passes to conferences.  But I hope it also keeps those interested in managed care and technology informed about some of the rapid advances in IT that are changing many of the rules about delivering health care.  You can search for my last name on the site to find my columns.
